2013 Chicago Golf Show - BMW Championship is New Presenting Sponsor

30th Annual Chicago Golf Show Partners with Western Golf Association's flagship event

The BMW Championship has signed on to be the Presenting Sponsor of this year's 30th annual Chicago Golf Show, Feb. 22-24, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, show officials announced today.

The BMW Championship is the penultimate event in the PGA TOUR's prestigious FedExCup Playoffs series, and will be played the week of Sept. 9-15 at Conway Farms Golf Club in Lake Forest, Ill. The championship will feature 70 of the game's most accomplished and best-known international players, including world No. 1 Rory McIlroy, who won the event in 2012. The BMW Championship and its predecessor Western Open have been conducted by the Western Golf Association since 1899.

"The Chicago Golf Show is thrilled to welcome the BMW Championship as its exclusive Presenting Sponsor for 2013," said Tom Corcoran, longtime Chicago Golf Show operator. "The Western Golf Association and the PGA TOUR bring a tradition and prestige to the Chicago Golf Show that we know our attendees will recognize and appreciate."

Last year's Chicago Golf Show attracted 16,700 fans and 187 exhibitors - both records - for the three-day weekend event. The Chicago Golf Show is the nation's oldest consumer golf show and is the second largest.

"The Chicago Golf Show's 30-year tradition and ongoing success motivated us at the BMW Championship to deepen our existing relationship with the Show," said Nik Lapin, BMW Championship Director of Marketing and Ticket Sales. "With the BMW Championship coming to Conway Farms Golf Club in Lake Forest for the first time next September, we think it makes sense to utilize the Chicago Golf Show to showcase the BMW Championship to golf fans of Chicago."

As the Show's presenting sponsor, the BMW Championship will be offering two complimentary practice round tickets to the first 200 people to enter the show each day, in addition to offering show-only ticket offers. The BMW Championship's J.K. Wadley Trophy will be on display, and fans are invited to pose for photographs with the trophy, Lapin said. As part of the sponsorship, the BMW Championship will be featured in the Chicago Golf Show's extensive advertising program, which includes direct mail, e-mail, TV, radio, online, and outdoor exposure.

The Chicago Golf Show is the only golf show supported by the Illinois PGA. As always, dozens of Illinois PGA professionals will be on hand to offer attendees free lessons on the full swing, short game, and putting. Esteemed golf instructors will conduct seminars on the Chicago Golf Show Main Stage to help attendees get their games in shape for the coming season.

Another major Chicago Golf Show supporter is the Illinois Junior Golf Association, which will provide information on its competitive tournament programs and once again will conduct its popular scavenger hunt for young golfers.

Hours and admission fees for the Chicago Golf Show are as follows:
